Mommy does not let you watch the news. It is too sad. There are so many terrible things happening each day locally, nationally, and in our world. This world is rough.
Rough in terrain. God made this world with different climates, geographical features, and elements. Sometimes the world crumbles or disasters strike. I do not understand why, but God does.
Rough in emotions. God made us each different in our emotions, and with that we have different reactions to life stress. A famous actor died yesterday. His name was Robin Williams. Mommy and daddy liked him. He was a comedian. He could do funny voices, and he was the star of many great movies and television shows. Sadly, he killed himself. His emotions or life stresses got too much. There will be times in your life when life seems like too much, I pray you always have someone to talk to and something to hope for. God knows about rough emotions. I know about rough emotions. I have had depression and anxiety during my adult years, and I know life can be rough. However, there is always help. Reach out. Love others. Sometimes those people who are smiling in public are crying in private.
Rough in Spiritual warfare. The world has always argued about religion and Spiritual matters. Read the Bible. Read the history books. There is sadly a trend of violence yet again in our world. People are shooting bombs, guns, and taking awful actions against one another in our world today. It saddens me. Again, please choose love. Pray for our military and for countries at war.
Rough in physical battles. Many people have physical ailments. Cancer, heart conditions, diseases that cannot be seen with the eyes and some that can be very visible. Our bodies are fragile. Take care of your body. Help friends and family members who may be sick. Visit a hospital or a nursing home. Maybe even work at one.
One day you will watch the news. Your phone or tablet will light up with news alerts. Until then…continue to hold one another’s hand. The world is rough, but when we have love…we have all we need.
