God is There When We Face Trials

A Pinterest search led me to this image by fellow blogger A Dusty Frame.

I am searching for words this morning.  A good family friend posted a message about his sister last night.  She was in a “horrific” accident yesterday afternoon.  She is in critical condition.  He asked for prayer.  This young woman is a mom, a daughter, a sister…people love her deeply.

This family is a family of Believers.  They know God…they Believe in Jesus.  Why?  Why more pain for them?  This is not their first dramatic event.  They have had many trials.  We all have trials of differing kinds, but God is still there.  He does not make bad things happen.  He loves us.

The enemy sneaks in to steal our joy and test our faith. Trials are addressed in the Bible…

Luke 22:28

You are those who have stood by me in my trials.

1 Thessalonians 3:3

so that no one would be unsettled by these trials. For you know quite well that we are destined for them.
James 1:2

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,
I do not consider it pure joy when we face trials.  I do not like them.  Others do not like them.  And yet, our Savior, faced the trials of the world…he was doubted, outcast, beaten, and died.  His purpose was an eternal one.  Our purpose is the same.  We live as daughters and sons of the King.   He loves us and His grace and love wrap around us when times are tough.  May we see his grace amidst the dark times, and pray for one another as many endure great suffering.
Please pray for those you know that are in pain.  Mental, physical, and spiritual suffering abound.  We do not know what each day will hold.  We can merely attempt to love one another and Our Father with earnest hearts.

  1. I’m thankful you were able to find this and use it to let God remind you that He is in control.

(I swiped it from a sermon by the way!)

    ((hugs)) and prayers
