Bent Low

My husband took photographs yesterday at our neighborhood Easter egg hunt.  This one was my favorite, of our 3 year old son Bryan.  He was bent low for an egg.  Bent low…

That image stayed with me.  It is a reminder that Christ came and bent low, humbled himself during his life to become a man…to struggle…to die…for us.  By Him we see an example of how to live this life.  It won’t be free of struggles or persecution.  It WILL be a hard road…but when we bend low in service, in search of things, we find the true treasures of life…

Philipians 2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, he HUMBLED himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!

Easter is joyful because of a Son bent low…

Are we bending down in reverence?  In service?  I’m thankful for His example.
