“He who is grateful for little is given much laughter…and it’s counting the ways He loves, this is what multiplies joy. The life that counts blessings discovers its yielding more than it seems.” –Ann Voskamp, one thousand gifts Devotional
The photos above are from our first camping adventure as a family. This outdoor pursuit was not picture perfect, but it was fun and memorable. Counting glimmers of grace today from that trip…
Our boys love to be outdoors (thus I get to be outside in God’s beauty also).
My husband is supportive and an active participant in our sons’ lives.
We are blessed with modern appliances. Our kitchen appliances may be “old,” but they work far better than cooking over hot coals,
I’m thankful for indoor bathrooms (with lights). Primitive camping is really not my thing. It reminded me that some people in our world do not have the luxuries we do. Some people share community bathrooms every day or have no plumbing.
Boy Scouts of America teaches our boys about helping others, caring for our environment, and being responsible citizens. It encourages us as parents to come along side our children and carve out time to spend with them in growing their responsibilities and knowledge.
Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honor.
