Garden of Our Mind

The Garden of our Mind was a video-remix that I watched this morning via a Pinterest Link of Mr. Roger’s.  Click on the “Garden of the Mind” above to watch the youtube video.  In it, Mr. Roger’s, a childhood favorite icon of many, explains how we can imagine things, and they grow.

I was immediately intrigued by his message.  Growing things in the garden of our mind…

who influences us,

what influences us,

and where do we go with the garden of our mind?

I try to start each morning with the Word of God.  The Bible is going in.  God is breathed.  The garden of my mind is planted with the seed each day.  Whether it grows, that is another story.  We are human.  We act foolishly at times, but overall, I feel I am still growing in showing God’s love and feeling loved myself.  The gardener is God.  His Holy Spirit is the water.  His Son is evident in the fruit of my garden.

Genesis 2:15

The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.
What work are you doing to tend His garden?   Your mind?
We become what we plant in our minds.  Good things in…good things out (hopefully).  Bad things in…temptation enters in.  One day at a time.  Flowers and fruit take time to grow, to mature.  Until then, I will continue my quest to read more of His word and perhaps memorize more of it too.
Do you have any tips for Scripture memorization?  If so, please leave me a comment.
Go forth and enjoy the garden!  Look for Him in the glimmers of grace that abound in our world and His Word.  Peace be with you.
