Ann Voskamp’s “Joy Dare” is getting tricky on this date for me! Three girts ice cold is not a Florida thing. I will resort to what is in the freezer…
1. Thankful for ice cream…we love it year round. Recently we had divine dessert at Gainesville’s The Gelato Company in downtown. I had cake batter and creamsicle…both delicious.
2. Thankful for frozen entrees…we enjoyed a Stouffer’s Lasagna last night…praise God for the creators of frozen meals for families! Heated in the oven…so yummy.
3. I am also thankful for ice…makes our drinks especially ice water so tasty on hot days.
New International Version (NIV)
9 The tempest comes out from its chamber,
the cold from the driving winds.
10 The breath of God produces ice,
and the broad waters become frozen.
11 He loads the clouds with moisture;
he scatters his lightning through them.
Ice is in the Bible and parts of our country and world do experience “the breath of God that produces ice.” We look forward to our Christmas trip to Texas…perhaps it will freeze there this year!?
